"Funeral Fog" is taken directly from Live in Leipzig (a Black Metal classic!), while "Necrolust", I believe, has Maniac on vocals. The other band on this split, Morbid, is Dead's band before he joined Mayhem. While nowhere near as good as Mayhem, Morbid still offer up some pretty decent material. All in all, I'd say this was a pretty good release/5(8).

when Mayhem lost Dead it definetly was a huge blow to the band as was losing Euronymous, this is an awesome cd even with the questionable sound quality, and although the band is just mass chaos that's really what black metal was. they have all the good elements of true black metal and they don't randomly break into song on the chorus. there are no riffs, or solos, or even a chorus but without.
